Q. What are Say It Simply Sayings?
A. Say It Simply Sayings are decorative letters, words or phrases that can be used to create unique decor for your home or office. Imagine the flexibility you have to customize your personal space to reflect what you are all about. Each Saying comes pre-positioned in the height, color and letter style of your choice so you can install it in only a few minutes. The Sayings are made of very thin vinyl (equal to about two coats of paint) and are held in place with a light adhesive. Once installed, it appears that your quote has been hand-painted on the wall. When you are ready for a new Saying or are ready to repaint, the letters of your Saying can be easily removed.
Q. Can you work with logos and other company specific artwork?
A. Yes! Custom work is our specialty. If you have a graphic or logo or specific font you would like us to use, simply give us a call at 800-820-6554 and let's talk about the possibilities. The most useable format for a graphic file is one called a "vector" and has a file extention of ".eps". If you don't have a vector graphics file, don't worry, we can work with other file types as well.
Q. Do you offer decorative graphics?
A. Yes, we offer hundreds of graphics that can be added to the text of your quote or purchased individually. The graphics come in the following categories: animals, bugs, daisies, embellishments, leaves, numbers, people n' things, shapes & symbols, snowflakes, sports, trees, and vine leaves. To view the graphics:
1. Open the Customize Your Saying application
2. Click on the "Insert Graphics" button located at the bottom left of the application
3. Select the character set you would like to view
4. Click on the graphic you would like to add and drag it onto the design surface.
Q. Can I leave my Saying up forever?
A. Yes, you can leave it up as long as you wish. Just remember that like with all décor that covers your paint, the longer you leave it up, especially on areas exposed to sunlight, the better chance you will have of paint under your Saying being darker than that on the rest of the surface.
Q. How do I remove my Saying?
A. Just slide a fingernail under a corner of a letter or grab the letter with tweezers, and peel it off. If it doesn't pull off easily, warm it slightly with a hair dryer and then peel it off. If your Saying has been in place for a few years, there may be a slight sticky residue remaining on your wall after removing your Saying. This residue can easily be removed with rubbing alcohol or "Goo-be Gone".
Q. Can I wash my Saying and the surface around it?
A. Yes. Use a mild soap and a soft sponge and cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or any that many be used to remove sticky residue.
Q. How do I create a Saying to be used over an arch?
A. To create a Saying that can be used over an arch requires that you provide us the dimensions of your arch. The height of arch should be measured from the point where you want your Saying to start to the top of the arch. The height cannot be more than 15". Measure the width between the bottom of the last letter on each side of your arch. The width can be any length. An example of this measurement is show in the image below.
Once you have measured your arch, simply design your Saying using our standard design tool and state in the special instructions that you would like the Saying arched. Be sure to include the height and width of your arch in the special instructions.
